Why I Started Dwayne Digital (Even Though I Wanted to Stay Anonymous)
You’ve landed here for one of two reasons:
- You’re a digital marketer curious about what I’m building.
- Or you’re just like I was. Stuck, burnt out, and quietly wondering… is there more for me?
If it’s the second one, this is for you.
Because my story might sound a lot like yours.
The Career That Made Sense. Until It Didn’t!
I’ve been a Digital Project Manager for over a decade.
I’ve worked inside the biggest agencies in Europe, led high-budget campaigns for global brands, and managed full website builds for clients whose names you’d recognise instantly.
I was good at it. I still am.
But something shifted. And it wasn’t just me.
What Changed (And What Didn’t Come Back)
Before 2020, the contract roles rolled in.
I never had to chase them, they came to me.
But after COVID, things slowed. Then kept slowing.
By 2024, it felt like every Senior Digital PM I knew was unemployed or underemployed. Some were taking junior roles just to stay afloat.
LinkedIn listings were flooded within minutes. 100+ applicants for a single role.
That was my wake-up call.
I didn’t just need a new job.
I needed a new path.
But The Truth? I’d Been Done For a While
Even before the slow-down, I knew I didn’t want to “climb higher.”
Not to Programme Manager. Not to Director.
It wasn’t a fear of capability. I could do the job.
It was a deep sense that I didn’t want to build someone else’s vision anymore.
I wanted to build mine.
But what did that even mean?
Cue: The Online Business Rabbit Hole
I did what most of us do.
Turned to the internet for help.
As I’m sure you have, I found thousands of options. Funnels. Affiliate links. YouTube gurus. Drop-shipping. AI side hustles. Crypto. IG, FB and TikTok algorithm hacks and many, many more = Chaos!
And you know what I learned?
👉🏽 If I’m not comfortable doing it, I can’t teach, share or sell it.
👉🏽 If I don’t believe in it, I won’t be passionate.
👉🏽 If I’m not passionate, I won’t stick with it.
👉🏽 If I don’t stick with it, it won’t work.
So I circled back to what I do know.
What I’ve spent 10+ years mastering: Digital Marketing.
From Career Pivot to Quiet Purpose
I realised something important:
I’m not alone in this pivot.
There are thousands of us, professionals, creatives, introverts who want to start something new… without performing for the algorithm.
So I created Dwayne Digital for us:
- The career-changers quietly building a second chapter
- The faceless creators who want freedom, not followers
- The people who know they have more to offer but no idea where to start
And most importantly: the ones who want to build something real, not just viral.
What You’ll Find Here
I don’t teach hacks. I don’t sell dreams. I don’t preach hustle.
Everything I create is built on:
- Real digital marketing skills that work (with or without showing your face)
- Faceless-friendly tools to help you plan, build, and launch
- A calm, honest approach to growing online income
If you know you have more to offer and you’re tired of noise, tired of chasing likes, and tired of waiting for a callback…
You’re in the right place.
Final Thought: I Chose to Stay Faceless But Not Silent
You don’t have to be loud to make an impact.
You don’t need a personal brand to build a business.
You don’t need permission to start something new.
You just need clarity.
You just need a plan.
You just need to bet on yourself.
That’s why I started Dwayne Digital.
So you don’t have to figure it out alone.
